I was also using a different interface so I'm not sure how much is the daw and how much is the interface but we'll just go with both. I got a LOT LOT LOT to learn but just from fiddling with my guitar and one track going directly in I already feel like I'm gonna like the sound of it better than audacity. My drummer sent me some tutorials on mixing too. So hoping to up the sound for the next group of songs. (not really our first but it's been years). We did 10 songs so far and basically enough for a "first" album. Plus I bought a Scarlett 2i2 and I'm trying to make a clean break from Audacity and an older interface I was using for my next songs. I'm looking forward to using it as I think it possibly has potential to sound better. It automatically opened up when I first used it but now I can't find where to open that up again. I literally can not find the place you do the little choosing of your interface and where you monitor and all that. If I do a song using the click and send it to my drummer, will the click follow the song? I mean in audacity it's an actual track but that's not really the case with reaper. It might help other people learning reaper. But if people want we can start a thread here. I think there is a site just for reaper users. I'll rattle a few questions off here but if there is a better place to ask questions. It's a bit less obvious how to run it compared to audacity.

I just downloaded Reaper and I listened to a few short tutorials on youtube.
